Join Yhim on June 16, 2018 for the Father's Day Eve Blue Tie Gala to support the University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation.
Yhim looks to celebrate life by raising funds and building awareness year round, focusing efforts around Father's Day weekend. Although Yhim was inspired by the passing of one father on Father's Day, cancer does not discriminate and nor will Yhim's efforts. All funds raised support cutting-edge research that will impact us all.

The Answer to Cancer is Research
Yhim has funded two major studies at the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center. One study, funded in 2014, focused on Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS). Insights gained from this research may allow for repair of the bone marrow abnormalities resulting from these genetic defects and provide the foundation for treatment and prevention strategies for MDS and leukemia.
The other study, funded in 2013, researches the evolution of solid tumors through comparison of genetic changes over time and space, and the identification of genetic biomarkers for use in prognosis and prediction of response to therapy. The ultimate goal is to use MRI, a noninvasive procedure, to help personalize the treatment of localized prostate cancer. With our continued expectations of exponential growth in the future, we hope to continue funding studies similar to these but to higher financial degree and at more world renowned hospitals. It is studies like these that will work towards the goal of eventually finding a cure to cancer. Research is the answer to achieve this goal!
